Automotive Spark Plug Tester User Manual:
1. Place the spark plug in test hole 1 or 2; to compare old and new spark plugs, place the new spark plug in hole 1 and the old spark plug in hole 2.
2. Connect the power supply.
3. Turn the key switch 4 clockwise to start the tester, the indicator light 3 will illuminate and the tester will now operate at 1000 rpm.
4. Turn the key switch 4 clockwise again to adjust the operating frequency between 1000rpm and 5000rpm/min.
Automotive spark plug test principle:
In an automotive ignition system, a high voltage ignition coil produces high voltage (over 10,000 volts) which is shunted from the high voltage ignition coil to the cylinder engine by the spark plug, where the sparks between the spark plug electrodes ignite the mixture. The detector can distinguish between good and bad spark plugs according to the intensity of the sparks.
Notes on the use of the automotive spark plug tester:
1. Turn off the power before placing the spark plug
2. The spark plug tester is a high voltage tester, please do not touch the spark plug with your hands when working to avoid danger.
3. The higher the frequency, the stronger the spark strength.
